Bar license applications & updates

For start-up bars, pubs and lounges, a liquor license application requires submitting business structure and ownership information, criminal record check results, site plans and floor plans, security and noise control plans. Yes. In most jurisdictions, you should apply for a license before your bar, pub or lounge construction is finished as long as you’ve submitted floor plans and site plans that reflect the build. We help coordinate this process to avoid delays, as some jurisdictions require a public consultation and community process and or zoning amendments. It’s always ideal to plan and apply early.
4How long does it take to get a license approved?
Application approval typically take several weeks to months if the application requirements are complete. If land-use changes are required, some applications can take over a year to meet all requirements. Additional time may also be needed if public consultation is required.
