BC Cannabis Stores for Sale in August 2022
August 11, 2022Differences Between BC Liquor Licenses and Alberta Liquor Licenses
August 25, 2022The Alliance of Beverage Licensees (ABLE BC), non-profit voice of BC’s bars, pubs and private liquor stores, recently announced the planning stages of the “buyABLE” program as part of ABLE’s ongoing quest to help move the industry forward and provide more value to its 1000+ members. According to the association’s July 20, 2022 news release “buyABLE will facilitate communication with agents and suppliers, make new products easier to discover, bring visibility to inventory, offer order tracking, and provide relevant and up-to-date paperwork”.
buyABLE will replace inefficient one-to-one communications between LPs (Licensed Producers) and LRS (Licensee Retail Stores) with a one-to-many model, streamlining and modernizing the process. buyABLE will include 2500+ ordering and delivery locations throughout BC. ABLE BC has partnered with PivoHub to build a 24/7 marketplace and tools that “will ease the ordering and delivery of local, domestic, and import liquor products”. PivoHub is a Quebec-based software developer that has already created “a digital ecosystem that connects, organizes, and equips the craft beverage industry”.
Development of the buyABLE marketplace is in full swing and ABLE BC is currently seeking a logistics and distribution partner to make the fledgling buyABLE B2B marketplace a reality. If you have questions about buyABLE or can assist in securing a logistics partner, email Executive Director Jeff Guignard at jeff@ablebc.ca.
